Update on Doug Gillis

Wanted to let everyone know that Doug was sent home from the hospital last night and is back home.  The next steps are finding the right speech therapy program, but the doctors have given him clearance to work out and be active again (but they still don't want him driving, and pitching is still a bit away).

The following is an article that ran in the Saginaw News yesterday:  http://www.mlive.com/sports/sanews/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/1151414564237250.xml&coll=9

A couple tidbits to give everyone a little better picture on how he's doing:

- Dave Frick (Midland outfielder) went to see him last night and as he was walking through the lobby, Doug was almost sprinting by him to get out of the hospital (with IV still in his arm) as the doctors had just discharged him.
- Tragically Hip concert in Chicago next monday - I wouldn't be suprised if he's in the front row.

Thanks again for all the emails and phone calls of support and well-wishes.
