CANpitch Pilot Sessions are a HUGE success!

Softball Ontario's CANpitch Pilot Sessions are a HUGE Success!
NORTH YORK, ONTARIO- Softball Ontario is proud to announce the success of nine (9) CANpitch pilot sessions currently being held throughout Ontario. Each of these CANpitch training session hosts were able to utilize the 50% discounted participant fee and the facility assistance that was available until March 31, 2010. The CANpitch program is Softball Canada’s new national pitching program and is aimed to develop young and new pitchers the basic fundamentals of pitching.
Softball Ontario currently has the following local softball associations being delivered the new CANpitch program by each nationally trained Regional Pitching Instructor:  CANpitch_Participant___Shay.png
• Softball Napanee – Bryan Brooks, newly named Softball Ontario’s Master Pitching Instructor
• Pickering Heat – Lesley Pipher
• Cobourg Legion Minor Softball Association – Dennis Omelanchuk
• Brantford Softball – Jenny McCarthy, newly named Softball Ontario’s Master Pitching Instructor
• Alvinston Minor Softball Association – David Bakker and Doug Charlton, newly named Softball Ontario’s Master Pitching Instructor
• Fisherville  Minor Ball Association – Gord Scott
• Orangeville Minor Softball Association – Sabrina Snow- Knez
• Upper Ottawa Valley Minor Fastball League – Maysha Townsend
• Milton Girls Baseball Association – Mindy Black

Softball Ontario currently has over 150 participants learning the new CANpitch curriculum from our trained Instructors and Softball Ontario hopes that all of these participants will leave the 6-week training program with the correct movements and confidence to pitch this summer!

Glencoe Minor Softball Association has already signed up to host a 6-week training program in May! Don’t be left out- CANpitch Instructors are finishing up their previous 6-week training sessions and would love to instruct your pitchers in your area later this Spring!

The fees for late spring CANpitch sign up is $50.00 (plus gst) for FUNdamentals and $105.00 (plus gst) for Learn to Train, which can be 1 or 2 times per week of instruction!

www.softballontario.ca) for more CANpitch information and to print off a Bid Application Form to be completed and received in the Softball Ontario office. Successful applicants will be contacted with more details regarding the CANpitch Program shortly after Softball Ontario receives your Bid Application. Bid Application Form must be completed and received no later than two weeks before your first scheduled training session and is subject to availability of a Regional Pitching Instructor.
