League Highlights
Dan Konkle leads the way for Team Easton with a 5-0-1 pitching record and two home runs, including a grand slam.  Highlights for Konkle include:

-No hitter with 15 strikeouts in a 6-inning mercy rule shortened game vs. Ottawa Blitz on May 10
-Perfect game with 9 strikeouts in a 5-inning mercy rule shortened game vs. Carp I4C Victory on May 24
-One hitter with 16 strikeouts vs. Stittsville 56ers on June 14
-Two hitter with 14 strikeouts vs. Fitzroy Harbour WC Electric on June 28
-Konkle has allowed 4 earned runs in 39 innings of work for an ERA 0.72

Neil Cooke had the first pitching win for the expansion Carp I4C Victory 6-3 over West Carleton Electric on May 17.  Pete Petit had I4C’s first home run in the same game.

Carp won the battle of the expansion teams on June 21, defeating the Blitz 8-3.

John Hayden hit the first home run for the expansion Ottawa Blitz against West Carleton Electric on May 24.

Dan Bradley threw a one-hit shutout over Carp I4C Victory in a six-inning mercy rule shortened 5-0 game on June 7.

Bradley and Darren Featherstone combined to one-hit Carp on June 26, as Stittsville squeaked out a 1-0 win. Trevor Wood allowed on 5 hits and 1 earned run in the loss.

WC Electric used the long ball to defeat Carp on June 12 as Michael Cavanagh and Steve Cavanagh both hit solo home runs to put the Electric ahead 2-1. Duane Bromley only allowed 5 hits in the loss.

Bud Hanlon of WC Electric scattered 6 hits and struck out 11 to defeat Stittsville 2-0 on June 21.  Dan Bradley only allowed 3 hits in the loss.  This game clocked in at just under the one hour mark.

Hanlon and Brad Porter of WC Electric combined for a 5 hit shutout of Team Easton on June 28.  However, Dan Konkle also had a shutout allowing only 2 hits in the scoreless draw.

Ottawa Team Easton Thunder (tournament version of the Team Easton squad) won the Eastern Ontario ISC II qualifier in Fitzroy Harbour on June 18 and will represent the area at the Tournament of Champions in Kitchener in August.  Stittsville 56ers and Fitzroy Harbour WC Electric received special invitations to attend and will be at the ToC as well.

The Ottawa Blitz are hosting a tournament on July 21-23 at Carlington Park in Ottawa.  Twelve teams have confirmed their participation:
