AINSLIE PITCHES 5 INNING NO HITTER
Monday night in Azilda at the Rick McDonald Memorial Park ,John Ainslie (5-0) faced only 18 batters in his five inning outing in no hitting the Whitefish Lake First Nation Steelers .The only three players to reach base were on two base on balls and one hit batsman. The onslaught for the North Stars began in the first frame as every North Stat went to the plate with the exception of Ainslie .The first place North Stars continued in the second inning collecting two more runs on their way to a convincing 16-0 victory , their sixth strait to start the season and remain undefeated and on top of the league standings. Bruce MacDonald led the way for the winners with a perfect for 3 for 3 at the dish with one base on balls (3 singles ,run scored , 3 RBI's) . Teammate Terry Kutshcke chipped in with a 3 for 4 performance (double ,2 runs scored , 3 RBI's) ..Ben Bast hit a two run shot to left field in the third frame for the winners. Three pitchers(Danny Nootchtai , Al Guenette and Henry Nootchtai) were used by the Steelers as they combined to give up 19 hits , strike out five North Stars and issue three walks . Play resumes on Wednesday night in Whitefish when the the Pickerel River Cardinals take on the Garson Hounds at 7 PM followed by the nightcap at 9 PM when the host Whitefish Lake Steelers face the Parry Island Hawks.

ISC WORLD FASTBALL QUALIFIER
This most prestigious tournament will be held in Sudbury on the weekend of July 16th,17th and 18th .Eight teams are needed for this tournament to be viable . The deadline for entry is June 26th which is 11 days away . By that date all entries must be in with payment of $365 to ISC Canada East . Cheques must be mailed to Blair Setford ISC Canada East 2927 Nipiwin Drive Mississauga On. L5N 1Y1 .
There is the possibility of a masters division if we have at least fur teams or more .It will be for both a double elimination tournament.
