Rivershark Twins Add Veteran Power Hitter

June 18, 2010

Kitchener, ON

MEDIA RELEASE

The Kitchener Rivershark Twins are pleased to announce the signing of Rob Gray, one of the games most dangerous power hitters over the past decade and a half. “I’m sure Rob is known to all of you for his experience, his leadership and of course as one of the games most dangerous hitters,” said field manager Kelly McGiffin in making the announcement to the rest of the reigning ISC World and Canadian champions earlier today.

Rob has a long history on some of the most successful teams in the game. He started his career in the mid 1990’s as a member of the Toronto Gator’s . Since then his bat has been a weapon in the middle of the batting order for teams such as County Classics, County Concrete, and the legendary Farm Tavern. He was also been a member of Canada’s National Team for many years.

Grazer has earned ISC All - World status four times and has also won the coveted ISC Crown twice.

“ Adding a warrior like Brownie to the lineup is like throwing gas on a fire, “ said R-Twins coach Larry Lynch. “He is dangerous every time he steps to the plate and he can explode an offense with one swing of the bat. He is a winner, a tremendous teammate and a student of the game. There is no question his addition makes us a better team.”

Rob will get his first opportunity in a new uniform next weekend when the Rivershark Twins open their 2010 season at the Legends of Fastball Classic, June 25 – 27, Peter Hallman Ball Yard, Kitchener. The R-Twins play the Midland Explorers at 9:00 p.m. Games begin on two diamonds at 7:00 p.m. and the junior division gets underway on Diamond 3 at 6:00 p.m.
