2010 Open World Series Coaches:

Thanks for joining us for the 2010 NAFA Men's Open World Series.

It is going to be great fun and this tournament is up for grabs although the favorite has to be the Bar of Appleton of Appleton, Wisconsin and their aces Andrew Blackshaw and Josh Johnson who are currently ranked 9th in the World and drew a bye and will face at 11am on field C the winner of the BAC-Wisconsin Allstars game.

Watch out for #2 seeded Dolan & Murphy Shamrocks of Aurora, Illinois as they have been building up to this event and feel great about their odds with their ace Ales Jetmer who are currently ranked 12th in the World who drew the othe bye and will face at 11 am on field B the winner of the Rocky Mountain Rebels and Wilkomm Mobil.

Defending NAFA AA-Major Champion New Image and their ace Jeremy Holman and their great batting squad add flame thrower Kevin Kammueller to their lineup and enter the event with the 3rd seed and will face Pete's Blues of Southern Illinois enters the tourney seeded 6th behind the fireballer Jonas Mach at 9 am on field A.

#14 World Ranked Kegel Black Knights of Fargo, North Dakota are seeded 4th behind the two young arms of B.J. Hunhoff and Brady Woods and they will face local Favorite Wilber Lime who takes the 5th seed with one of the best batting lineups in intermediate ball and behind the arm of Dan Wall at 11 am on field A. 

Tall Timber Todd Lubkeman leads Wilkomm Mobil from Kenosha, Wisconsin and is backed by Wayne Guara and faces David Beets throwing for the Rocky Mountain Rebels of Colorado/Texas in the first round of the tournament at 9 am Saturday on field B.

 In the other 9 am game on field C, Blackhawk Athletic Club of Rockford, Illinois and ace Ray Reynolds faces the Wisconsin Allstars and their ace Bryan Lathrop.

2) Mail me your check for $475 if you have not already for the entry fee today to NAFA, PO Box 566, Dayton, Oregon 97114

3) Confirm that you have received this email and have the bracket.

4) Book your rooms at the Roadstar(608-274-6900) host motel as they are providing the umpire rooms.

5) No Friday Games to help you get there on time.

6) Coaches Meeting is 8 am Saturday morning at the Bowling Green Sports Complex Bowling Alley Meeting Room.

7) Player Picture ID check in is 30 minutes prior to your first game with Loren Lathrop and Jon Kegel.

8) We have added the if necessary game back into this tournament for 2010.

9) EVERY TEAM comes back to play on Sunday. It is a real double elimination bracket and the first 6 teams knocked out of the the Double Elimination Bracket drop into a Single Elimination Bracket so every team could get 3 to 7 games in this event.

10) The Playing Rules are on the website and we will be using the 10 runs after 4 innings and 7 runs after 5 or six innings run rule.

11) NO BANNED BATS....Do NOT allow your players to bring banned bats to the complex.

12) We will use three umpires for all double elimination games and two man on the Single Elimination Sunday Bracket.

13) The umpires have been brought in from all over the United States and Canada and are very good.. Show them the respect they have earned and they will respect you.

14) I will be on my cell phone 503-559-5398 to address any issues during the weekend but there shouldn't really be any. Mike Watson has pneumonia and was supposed to be the tournament director and if he cannot make it Loren Lathrop will be the tournament director and Jon Kegel will assist Loren.

16) We will be using the official ball of NAFA for all NAFA World Series events.

17) We will pass out a survey to each team coach which asks your opinion on the structure, date and location of the OPEN event for 2012.

18) Please review your pitchers we have listed on the website at www.nafafastpitch.com and send me any additions as everyone is allowed to pitch in the Open but people love to see who is coming and who they might get to face.
