Waterloo's Hillside Park will host this years Ontario Senior Fastball
title with two games on Wednesday July 28th.
The OASA championship will have last years Ontario and Canadian champs,
the Kitchener Hallman Rivershark Twins matched up against the Owen Sound
Verge Selects in two games, 7 and 9 pm at Hillside Park. The rivalry
between these two clubs, in whatever uniforms they may have worn over
the years is long standing. For many years the mid week games between
these two clubs brought out the fans to watch the likes of Brad
Underwood and Dan Yantzi. The Owen Sound CanadianTireMen, King Farms,
Verge Selects, or the Waterloo CHYMrs, Hallman Twins or RiversharkTwins
whatever the names, this goes back decades...
We should be calling this one the InterCity Classic...the winner goes to
PEI as the Ontario Champ.
