On the 26th July 2009 the Aussie Steelers etched their name into softball history in being crowned 2009 ISF World Champions.
As we celebrate the anniversary of the Aussie Steelers World Championship victory at the XII ISF Men's World Championships in Saskatoon, Canada we invite you to click on the below link to relive and reminisce on the moments captured during Australia’s first World Championship victory.
Sixteen countries took part in the ISF World Championship where the Aussie Steelers finished the round robin play with a 6-1 win-loss record, their only loss coming against host nation Canada in an extra-innings thriller. It was possibly this game which sparked something within as the Steelers were at their explosive best during the playoffs.
