The Special Olympic Game Midland ISC 2010

August 11, 2010

Midland, MI

Midland, MI I'd like to invite any and all ISC and ISC II players, coaches, managers, officials and umpires to participate in the 2010 ISC/Special Olympics exhibition game. Last year's game in The Quad Cities, despite the rainout, the was a great success and we expect nothing but the same for Midland.

Here are the details: ** 7:00 p.m.** Wednesday, August 18th** Diamond #2, Emerson Park** Meet at the Main Diamond at Emerson at 6:30 p.m. We're going to get the Special Olympics team introduced on the main diamond, and then make the walk to Diamond #2. It's a short distance between the two fields, and the Special Olympics team and the ISC players can make the trek together. Once we get to Diamond #2, we'll split the two groups up, mix and match the teams, and Play Ball! Souvenirs Needed!!  If possible, please donate one of your team’s hats, t-shirts, or jerseys to the Special Olympics team. The goal is to make this event as memorable as possible for the Special Olympians and all of the gifts are truly appreciated by these athletes. Anyone who has something they'd like to donate, please let me know. Once we get to Midland, you can give those items to me, I play for Maccabi USA, or XXXX who will collect them for the game. This is a tremendous way ball players, coaches and fans can give back to the community, and a game that the Special Olympians will remember for years to come. All are welcome to stop by the diamond to play or cheer, and be a part of the ISC’s most heartwarming event.

Sincerely, Tony Kahan for Kyle Beane
