From NAFA in Des Moines

August 14, 2010

Des Moines, IA

We're just hours away from the start of the 2010 NAFA World Series that features six divisions of championship play. Starting things off today is the A-Major Division with the first pitch scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at both softball complexes: Raccoon River Park and the Greater Des Moines Softball Complex.

The weather as of 7:30 a.m. is blue skies. (Fingers crossed boys, fingers crossed.)

I wrote a couple of stories yesterday, readers may find interesting. A team preview of the Westerville, Ohio Age 23-Under team. And a second story about the hard-working ground crews of West Des Moines and Des Moines, who have done wonders to bring the fields into good playing shape after at least seven inches of rain deluged the area since Monday.

Let's play ball!

NAFA A-Major Division kicks off World Series

Read about Rocco Ramsey, who entered three teams in the 18-Under, 23-
Under, and A-Major divisions of the NAFA World Series. What a guy!
Could we clone him?

I've also included a slide show of the 2:30 ball games.
