The long and anticipated league best of five championship finals between the defending champs the Sudbury North Stars and the 3rd seeded Parry Island Hawks will now get underway Thursday night September the 9TH in Garson at the Lorne Brady Memorial Park with a doubleheader , first game scheduled for a 7 PM start . Contrary to what some players from other teams , some officials and some fans  are saying or predicting , I do not expect this series to go in strait games . In analyzing both teams here is what I come up with . Both teams have good pitching where John Ainslie of the North Stars finished the season at 11-3 but struggled at some times late in the season and in the semis  . Matt Tobobondung of the Hawks is pitching very strongly in the last three weeks and a clear example would be his one hitter the other night in the Hunstville playoffs to put his team in the championship final tonight . Hitting is very strong on both teams . Where the North Stars have the edge is in defense behind a solid group of veterans who've been there before several times . If the Hawks in their hitting start finding the holes and avoid those minor mistakes , we could be in for a very good series -the best in several years .  Prediction : if John Ainslie returns to mid season form combined with strong hitting and good defense - it’s the North Stars in four games . If the Hawks avoid those costly mistakes , Matt Tobobondung stays strong and the young bats hit the holes , I can see the Parry Island crew in 5 .. As the saying goes these are only observations from a passionate fastball fans and we do know that the game is won on the field not on paper . Come out and see the games and judge for yourself .
