NY Bombers Win 2010 Prospect, NY Labor Day Tournament

The Cortland, NY based New York Bombers completed their 2010 campaign by winning the 65th annual Prospect Firemen Men’s Fastpitch Tournament in Prospect, NY over the Labor day weekend (Prospect is the longest running fastpitch tournament in the United States). The Bombers sported a perfect 4-0 record in the 9 team double elimination tournament to win the tournament for the second year in a row. Bomber pitcher, Justin Heyman ( Kingston, ON) was named Most Valuable Pitcher, winning the first 3 games. Heyman struck out an impressive 34 batters over 19 innings of work. Bomber shortstop Jake Waseilewski was named tournament MVP, going 6-11 including a solo HR in the championship game vs. rival Prospect.
