ALL STAR CLASSIC EXTRAVAGANZA

 

                                                                 Because of un foreseen circumstances coupled with today's early in climate weather , this year's edition of the 5th Annual All Star Classic which was to be hosted by the North Shore had to be cancelled . The event will now happen one week from today , Saturday September the 25th still in Massey . Everything will get underway at noon with the four skills competition . The game itself a nine inning affair because of the large number of players on both sides will follow immediately after the skills competition . We are asking all team reps on both sides to send in their names (we would like 4 to 5 players per team in The Rick McDonald circuit and 2 to 3 players in North Shore circuit) by no later than Wednesday September the 22nd in order for us to publicize them . The names might be changing from today's cancelled game and that’s understandable seeing that some players might have prior commitments . We would like all teams to be represented and therefore some players may wind up with more players ./ The Rick McDonald names are to be sent to Roger and the North Shore boys send your selections to Delene . We have now lost our very special guest Kori Rowe because of a commitment on her part for the 25th . We are now pursuing other avenues for a new guest . We hope to see fans in great numbers from both leagues come out and support some excellent fastball and probable the last fastball event of the 2010 season . All reps from the Rick McDonald league are asked to turn in or email ASAP their individual awards ballot .They are to be given or emailed to Roger .If you've misplaced that ballot see Roger for a new one or email him . We are also looking for a possible date for year end celebrations -Roger is suggesting Saturday October the 1st in Azilda at Dog House with a starting time of 8 PM .

 

LEAGUE FINALS

 

 

                                                                 Following a couple of cancellations the league championship finals best of three affair resumes Monday night September the 20th at 8 PM in Azilda . The North Stars will take on the Parry Island Hawks leading the series 2-0 and a chance to clinch and win their fourth championship in five years . They are the defending league champs .
