There was no change in the weather as its been for almost three weeks now . Here in the small community of Massey on the North Shore , it was a cloudy and somewhat cold with the temperature hardly reaching 7 degrees Celsius . We even had some light showers throughout the game . The Rick McDonald Fastball League scored 2 in the opening frame coupled with another four in the second in taking a commanding 6-0 lead and seemed well on their way to an easy victory . In the middle innings , the North Shore crew score 4 but the McDonald boys hold on for a close 6-4 victory .John Ainslie started for the McDonald crew and picked up the victory  and later gave way to Eric Abitong .Both pitchers combines to give up 4 runs (all earned) on 8 hits while striking out 2 batters and not issuing a single base on balls . Casey Abitong went all the way for the North Shore giving up all six runs (all earned) on 7 hits while striking out 5 batters and  not issuing a single base on balls . Heikel Esponsa of the North Shore led all hitters going a perfect 4 for 4 at the dish with Brian Esson hitting 2 for 4 .Dwight Beers and John Ainslie led the hitting parade for the winners both hitting 2 for 4 while teammate Mike Cain went 2 for 5 (both triples) . The 2011 game returns to Greater Sudbury and will be played at either Terrry Fox or Coniston . In 2012 the game will be held in Spanish on the North Shore.
