I knew 7 years ago that this moment would come - at some point.  But that does not take away any of the sting I feel as I compose this email.
 
I am writing this email, to notify the softball world that the World Fastball Invitational in Monkton has played it's final games...
After much consideration and attempts to keep this world-class event "the" stop on the major mens fastpitch circuit,  I felt the need to inform all of those around the globe that have come to know, and love this tournament.
There are a few factors that have contributed to this decision, and none are a surprise to me, but there's no need to elaborate or go into details at this time.
 
I will write-up a more detailed and heartfelt note and forward to Al in the near future...
