2011 SOFTBALL ONTARIO UMPIRE EXAM PACKAGE IS NOW AVAILABLE!
NORTH YORK, ONTARIO- Softball Ontario is pleased to announce that the 2011 Softball Ontario Umpire Exam package for the 2011 softball season is now available for Umpires. Come and be a member of the Best Blue Crew in Canada!
The Softball Ontario Umpires Program has evolved to meet the needs of Softball Umpires in Ontario by offering a graduated fee system that appeals to all levels of Umpires. Softball Ontario will continue to offer registration to the younger Junior Umpire and seasoned veterans alike. New last season “Intermediate Umpire” category encourages the development of young House League Umpires while the” FP Local Umpire Only” category will provide a House League Umpire a discount on their registration fees and provide all officials with insurance for all of their local umpiring needs.

Umpire Registration Categories offered by Softball Ontario include:
FP Local Only - $67.80 (including HST)
- Available to an Umpire who has not registered with Softball Ontario before or was registered in the FP Local Umpire Only category in the two previous years
- Eligible to officiate at local organized Fast Pitch House League games (including exhibition and tournaments) hosted by their local association/local league
- Must provide a name and contact information for their local association (Name of the Association, Contact Name and Phone Number).
FP Only-$96.85 (including HST)
- Eligible to officiate at all organized Fast Pitch games (including exhibition, local tournaments) and PWSA, OASA and ORSA Qualifiers and Provincials Championships.
SP Only-$96.85 (including HST)
- Eligible to officiate at all organized Slo-Pitch games (including exhibition, local tournaments) and SPOA Qualifiers and Provincial Championships.
FP and SP-$107.62 (including HST)
- Eligible to officiate at all organized Fast Pitch and Slo-Pitch games including exhibition, local tournaments and PWSA, OASA, ORSA and SPOA Qualifiers and Provincial Championships.
Please note if an Umpire was registered in 2010 their insurance coverage will expire on April 1, 2011. To be prepared for the 2011 season make sure you have your most important piece of equipment - proper insurance coverage with Softball Ontario and register now.
