Vancouver Grey Sox game 3 result - Bear Country Classic @ Prince George, BC

The Vancouver Grey Sox completed round robin play Saturday evening at the
Bear Country Classic tournament being held in Prince George, BC.

The Grey Sox were defeated by the host Prince George Black Bears by a score
of 7 - 6 in eight innings. Winning pitcher was Heine Shannon, who also was
3 - 3 at the plate for the Black Bears. Prince George was also lead by 2
home runs from Evan Potskin, and a solo homer from Doug Cain. Grey Sox
pitcher Nick Underhill was tagged with the loss, after taking over from
starter Rick Smith to commence the 8th inning. Despite not giving up a hit,
Underhill was the victim of 2 Grey Sox errors in the extra frame. Catcher
Bryan Abrey lead the Grey Sox offense with a double and a home run.

As a result of the victory, Prince George finishes first in the round robin
and will now play the 4th place finisher Grande Prairie Pride in one semi
final matchup on Sunday morning. The Grey Sox will be playing Portland CR
in the other semi final, with the two winners advancing to the championship
game.
