Yep it is over.  Ken has put up one hell of a battle and in my opinion, he won.  He is up in heaven right now giving my dad a great big hug and celebrating his arrival by having a captain-diet.  Ken died very peacefully with Lori and I by his side holding his hand.  Ken's very good friend Paul Harrington was also there.  I'm sure Paul wasn't expecting to have to witness Ken's death.  It was difficult for us all at that moment.

My family would like to thank all of you who have given us your kind words.  They really helped us through this very difficult period in our lives.  Ken always wanted to hear what you all had to say.  It modivated him very much to keep pushing.

We will update you all on the funeral arrangements when they are finalized.  It is looking like Wednesday will be the funeral but not sure.

A special thank you to Randy Palmer for helping us get the word out to you on Caring Bridge.  Being in the hospital, we were unable to keep you updated and Randy was able and very willing to do the updates for us.  Thank you Randy!
