Game Numbers: each Game # is hyperlinked to an jpg file showing the game summary sheet for that game.
Pictures by Jamie Clark are sent to us right after the completion of each game.

First game Friday night reported by Jamie by 9pm and second game of the day by 11pm - Great work Jamie!

Saturday morning and the 9am games are rolling in at 11am - first two posted and I am off to a meeting but back in an hour or so.

Check NEWS-2 for periodic score updates made while I am on the road.

Game 9 diamond 27. NZ v swashbucklers. Swash on top 4-3. I heard it was a good game. I missed all of it. :(  JC

Games 19-22 updated by 10pm. They were playing in the dark it appears!

Its a wrap for Saturday!

Tomorrow it's Chi/NY v NZ and Lanceros v Dominicana at 11am. Winner of Chi/Ny - NZ plays California and winner of Lanceros v Dominicana Plays Excellent at 1pm.

Fastpitch West found time to convert the jpg game files to PDF format  right side up too.

Thanks to Jim for the work.

SUNDAY - July 3, 2011
Tournament is on hold due to rain.   Manager meeting will be at noon but this does not look good.

3:30pm - headed to the ball yard to check conditons. If the fields are playable, games begin at 4pm. We hope.

4pm - fields look wet. Teams want to play. Waiting for word on how long to play, and if. Now 4:20pm.

PG-1  Dominicana beat Lanceros 8-0
PG-2  New Zealand Black Sox beat Chicago/NY in a close 4-3 game well covered on Facebook by Paul Walford.

Paul says New Zealand now going to another park to play California A's which is not what the schedule says, but Jamie's blog says the same thing so asking for clairification of what goes on in the Big Apple other than playing in the dark.

9:05pm some clarification from Jamie:
New Zealand is playing California.
Excellent v Dominicana.
- Right now CA and NZ are on the field, in the 4th inning no score.
-Then Dominicana will finish up with Excellent after. They're tied 1-1 in the 5th

It would appear that the schedule provided to us at AlsFastball is apparently incorrectSorry fans, trying to sort it out. The good news is Peligro are getting the games in and a lot of hard core fans are still watching ball late night in the Bronx. We will make adjustments to the schedule as we get the corrections/changes and stroke out the original schedule to hopefully avoid any confusion. We are getting regular updates and clairifications from Jamie and Wilfredo.

9:30pm and according to Paul Walford on Facebook the park they went to for NZ to play Cali was too dark so they moved to a park in the Bronx.  Good play by play and he says no score but cannot find the inning, but assume its early in the game.

9:55pm -T7 and Black Sox down 2-0. Priceless commentary by Mr Walford! Glad he is enjoying the music ;=)
California A's will now play somone, and I assume that to be the winner between Excellent and Dominicana.
Paul Walford seems to have become part of the Peligro Communications Team in NYC and is doing a spectacular job.
After the New Zealand game I think Paul went for a well earned beverage with the Black Sox.

11:55pm just received 3 game files and sorting them out. It appears California A's and Dominicana are preparing to play Fastball in the Bronx at midnight for the 2011 Peligro Championship!

11:56 pm, Crotona Park, Bronx NY- California A's and Dominicana are preparing to take part in the Peligro Sports Tournament Cup Championship game.
Wilfredo

Wilfredo says the fans in NYC are the greatest!

12:09am Derek Mason walks, bases loaded
Kevin Schellenberg batting up with two strikes
Wilfred

12:30am and getting regular updates on the game from Wilfredo. Great feedback from Wilfredo on the support they had today from the grounds crew who whipped a number of diamonds into playing shape and kudos to Jamie Clark who has been sending us game updates all weekend while taking tons of pictures and doing a hundred other things to help this tournament along.
I beliefe its 1-0 for California A's; Chase Turner hit by pitch.

12:44am Lucas Matas has 5 strikeouts so far with good control at top velocity. A lot of Suapate!
We head to the top of the third with the A's leading 1-0.
Wilfred

1:06am California A's threatening to add additional runs with man on second and third.
One run scored with a hit by Blake Miller.

1:16am 10 K's by Lucas Matas so far.
Wilfred

1:20am Dominicana's anxiety has not allowed them to produce any runs during this important game. They hope to obtain some hits during the bottom of the 5th.
Wilfred

1:36am Lights will be shutting off at 2:00 am as per NYPD. Top of the 6th - California batting up.
Wilfred

1:47am  Bobby Rosthenhausler hit a home-run with a man on base. They've scored 5 runs this inning. The score is now 7-0 and California has requested 200 cans of brews for the possible victory.
Wilfredo

2:11am and no word yet. Maybe they are all in the dark. But I assume its all over but hanging on a bit until I hear for sure and maybe get a game sheet from Wilfredo but if he is too busy, I will look for it in the morning.
2:20am - I am assuming Wilfredo is wrapping things up, handing out trophies, etc. and thanking the many helpers he had all weekend. Hanging on a few more minutes before we shut down for the morning.

2:43am - just heard from Wilfredo, yes, California A's did win and are demanding those 200 beers. No confirmation of the score yet but let's call it 7-0 until I hear something later this morning. These good folks deserve a break and a standing O.

2:53am  Confirmed!  Final score was 7-0 for California A's. Congratulations to all!

Sensational job of reporting all weekend by Jamie and this evening by Wilfredo. Hard work at the best of time but a full day almost lost because of the rain, Bravo to everyone for making sure the games were played and reported on.
