Good afternoon,
Below is the schedule for the Canada East ISC League playoffs in Owen Sound July 23-24. The winner of the weekend will receive a berth in the 2012 ISC World Tournament in Midland, Michigan.
Colin Smith will be the ISC league representative on site. Remember that the league standings will carry over in determining home team for the playoff round.
All games are to be played to a winner. International tie-breaker starts in the 8th inning.
League Standings:
1. Jarvis 6-0 1.000
2. Port Elgin 3-3 0.500
3. OS Selects 1-3 0.250
4. OS Jrs 0-4 0.000
Tie-breakers
The following tiebreakers will be used to determine standings.
1. Record
2. Head to head play
3. Fewest runs allowed between the tied teams
4. Fewest runs allowed in all round robin games
5. Run differential in round robin games between the tied teams
6. Run differential in all round robin games
7a. Coin toss to determine positions 1 or 2
7b. tie-breaker game to determine position 3
Once a tie is broken for one team, the tie-breakers are re-applied starting with number 1 for the remaining tied teams.
Any default games will count as a 2-0 victory.
