Canada/USA Game at US World Cup of Softball to be Broadcast on TSN2

(Ottawa, ON) Softball Canada is extremely pleased to announce that TSN2 will air coverage of the preliminary round game between Canada and the United States from the US World Cup of Softball VI on July 23rd at 2:00pm ET. The World Cup of Softball VI will take place from July 21-25 in Oklahoma City. Other teams participating at the event include Australia, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, and Japan.

The Canadian Women's National Team earned a Bronze medal at the ISF XII Women's World Championship in Venezuela last year, which was Canada's second ever medal at the event and first won by the Women's National Team program (the previous medal was won by the 1978 Doc's Blues club team). The United States are the reigning World Champions. Both teams, along with Australia and Japan, recently competed at the 2011 Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championship last week.
