Frankenmuth Driving School completed the Thumb Travel League portion of their season with 7 wins and 8 losses during the regular season. They were eliminated from the tournament at the end of the season with losses to Auburn ATS and the UP To Date Painters. Overall it was a very good learning experience. Several of the players made vast improvement from the opening day. The Driving School will continue to play the remainder of the season on the road. This weekend there will be four area teams playing in the ASA National Tournament in North Mankato, Minnesota. Playing in the under 23 division will be Frankenmuth Driving School - ADM - Grasel Graphics.. In the 18 year old division. FDS - ADM - GG will also be represented. Playing in the 16 and under division will be the Munger Bulldogs and Richville Fastpitch. The coached heading for Minnesota will be Pete Bouvy, Don Petro, Del Benson and Tom Stasik. Several parents and friends will accompany the teams. It will be a twelve hour trip to the Nationals. The tournament will begin on Friday, August 5 and end on Sunday, August 7.
The following weekend, August 12, 13, and 14, Frankenmuth will be playing in Bay City, the site of the Class D State Championship.
The weekend of August 18, 19, and 20 Frankenmuth will play in Rockford, Illinois in the NAFA under 23 International Tournament.
