Game 2 of the best of five series in Niagara Falls went last night. Both the Niagara Fury and Niagara Snappers take commanding 2-0 series leads.
The Fury/Hooligans game saw Scott Wagar for the Fury up against Brian Belisle of Hooligans. The Fury would strike for three in the third, Adam Dearborn hits a homerun that also cashes a Rob Greatrix single, a couple batters later Ray Carr hits a homer for the Fury. Stayed that way until the fifth when Dearborn again scores Greatrix and Wagar follows that up with a 2 run homer.

I apologize I do not have all the details from the first two games of the Snappers/Tazco series. The Snaps won game one last week 5-1 and took game 2 last night 9-1. Will try to report details at a later date.
Game three for both series goes Wednesday night - 7 pm Fury/Hooligans and 9 pm Snappers/Tazco at Ker Park in Niagara Falls

In game # 1 of the NFMFL Semi Final between the Niagara Snappers and Tazco, the Snappers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first as Pete Dobbin and Trevor Falk would score on an error. The Snappers added two more runs on a Trevor Falk solo HR and Scott Young singling and later scoring on a Ryan Rothwell sac fly. The Snappers would add another run in the 5th again with Young (singled) being brought home on a Ryan Rothwell single. Tazco got on the board with 3 consecutive hits by Tom Berube, Pat McCloy and Ron Winger.
Mike Bateman picks up the win for the Snappers scattering 7 hits over 6 innings with Perry Bartley coming in to pitch a scoreless 7th. Tom Berube takes the loss despite 6K's over 6 innings of work.

Game #2 of the best of 5 series saw the Snappers once again put up 2 runs in the 1st inning. Mike Bateman helped out his own cause belting a solo HR with 2 outs. Scott Young would follow that with a single and then scored on a Matt Lyon double. Tazco would answer right back with a single run in their half of the first as James Atkinson walked, JJ Keisler singled and Atkinson would then score on a Glenn Crocker single cutting the score in half (2-1 Snappers). From this point on the Snappers would score in each of the next 3 innings with 1 in the 2nd, 2 more in the 3rd and 4 more in the 4th. Trevor Falk and Kevin Newhouse hit HR's and Matt Lyon went 3-3 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI's.
Mike Bateman picked up win #2 of these playoffs throwing 4 complete while only allowing 1 run. Scott Young came on in relief to record the final 3 outs in this mercy shortened game.
Tom Berube takes the loss with Ron Winger coming on in relief in the 5th.
