On a perfect evening for Fastball, a picturesque Ker Park was the scene for Game #3 of the best of 5 NFMFL Semi-final series between the Niagara Snappers and Niagara Falls Tazco. With the Snappers holding a 2-0 series lead, they looked for the series sweep, setting up a possible matchup with cross town rival, the Niagara Fury who previously eliminated Niagara Falls Hooligans in 3 games.

Scott Young would get the start for the Snappers with Tom Berube making his 3rd consecutive playoff start for Tazco.  Tazco would open the scoring in the top of the 2nd inning with a Glen Crocker double followed by an RBI single by Darren Gray.  The Snappers would tie the score in their half of the 2nd with a Kevin Newhouse double that scored Mike Bateman who earlier walked.  Tazco took the lead again on a Aaron Belding double that scored JJ Keisler who drew a 1 out walk.  The Snappers would once again draw the game even with a single run in the 4th on an RBI single by Ryan Rothwell cashing in Scott Young who lead off the inning with a walk.  The Snappers took their first lead of the game with 2 runs in the 4th as Pete Dobbin, Trevor Falk and Bateman all collected doubles with another run scoring on a Perry Bartley sac fly.  In the 6th, Tazco would answer back and tie the score at 4 as Tom Berube hit a two run HR, cashing in Belding who lead of the inning with a double.  The score would stay locked at 4 apiece as the two teams approached extra innings.

In the top half of the 8th, Belding put Tazco up by 1 as he belted a solo HR to straight away centre.  With the Snappers down by 1 in the bottom of the 8th, Bateman would lead off the inning with a triple and later scored on a Rothwell squeeze bunt to keep the game going with the score tied at 5.  With the international tie-breaker in effect starting the 9th, both teams would fail to score the go ahead run.  Tazco would come up short again in their half of the 10th by not being able to push the runner at 2nd across the plate.  In the bottom on the 10th, Bateman continued his hot hand by clobbering a 2 run, walk off HR to end the game and the series.
