Hogs drop two in Yorkville

The DeKalb Hogs dropped two tough games, both by the score of 6-5 on Tuesday night. The losses drop the Hogs record to 16-11 on the season. The Hogs are without the services of a couple of players due to injury but hope to get them back in a day or so.
Game 1
The Hogs jumped out to a 3-0 lead but Mazon came back to win the game 6-5. Brian Tobin (7IP 6H 7K) took the loss. Matt Smith, Ken Hodgen and Jay Armes were all 2x3. Mike Drew had 2 RBI in the loss.
Game 2
The Hogs faced the league leader Tiger Club, which boasts four former ISC All World players. The Hogs played well but lost again 6-5. Tim Murphy took the loss. Vince Virtue led the Hogs going 3x3 with a double and a triple. Shaun Cavasos was 2x4 in the loss.
The Hogs are in action tonight against Dolan and Murphy and ATMI in the NIFC ISC League and travel to Thomson, Il. for a DH against Thomson tomorrow and then will play three games on Saturday in the NIFC.
