OASA Men's Committee meeting Sunday Feb 26 2012
The OASA Men's Committee met to discuss and plan the 2012 OASA events set for the upcoming fastpitch season at the Conestoga Residences at Conestoga College in Kitchener.
There was discussion about and agreement on several issues which the Committee wishes to bring to the attention of teams, players, umpires, leagues, tournament organizers and interested fastpitch fans
AFFILIATION DATES; Rosters are to be submitted to the OASA Registrar as follows
Junior Men's (both junior U 21 and U 23) - May 25th 2012
Master's, Orthodox and Senior Men's June 10th
OASA Men's Championship, Great Lakes Tournament, July 1st
TOURNAMENT SITES AND DATES;
Men's "A" Great Lakes Tournament - Jarvis - July 27th - 29th
Senior Men's Great Lakes Tournament - Jarvis - July 27th- 29th
Note differing affiliation dates - vis a vis Senior and Intermediate
Men's "B" and "C" - Sudbury - August 17 - 19
Junior Men's "A" - the site is Owen Sound - the host centre is Keady - June 29 - July 1
Master's - Bracebridge - July 13th - 15th
and
Junior B and C - Bracebridge - July 13th - 15th
Under 23 - will be played in Jarvis in conjunction with the
Great Lakes tournament - July 27th - 29th
TOURNAMENT RULES
There are some updates from the CASA and OASA AGM's which will be posted to the
OASA web site and included in the team packages and tournament directors guidelines.
MINOR DEVELOPMENT
Two Springboard clinics for minor age players will be held this spring...one in Burford April 14th
the other in Brockville, April 28th. See the link at

Some great instructors are on board. To date, Doug Charlton, George Ryder, Jamie Simpson, Al Staats,
Ray Tilley, Scott Searle, Bryan Brooks, Dave Hoffman, Joe Lewis.
The fee is $10 per participant.

in an effort to promote attendance at the Great Lakes tournament, including some incentives for
teams to enter the Great Lakes.
The Canadian Senior Men's Championships will be held in Fredricton NB August 28th to Sept 2nd
The Canadian Junior Men's Championships will be held in Owen Sound ON August 6th - 12th.
