Larry Fisher appointed Executive Director Designate of the ISC
 
March 26, 2012 The International Softball Congress is pleased to announce that Larry Fisher, of Findlay, OH, has been appointed as the Executive Director Designate effective immediately.
 
Larry will work closely with retiring Executive Director Ken Hackmeister over the next five months until Ken's retirement following the end of the 2012 ISC World Tournament in Midland, Michigan.
 
Larry joined the ISC in 1981 as an area commissioner for the state of Ohio. In his 31 years with the organization, he has served on numerous committees including as the chairman of the World Tournament Committee as well as filling his most current position as chairman of the Executive Committee.
 
During Larry's time in the game, he has been a player, coach and manager, bringing several teams from his home state of Ohio to the ISC World Tournament..
 
The ISC would like to take this opportunity to applaud Ken Hackmeister for his 32 years of service to the ISC, including the last 12 years as Executive Director. During his time on the job, Ken has lead the ISC through a very turbulent period in the game with professionalism and a grace under fire that few men possess.
 
We wish Ken and his wife Les good health and a well-deserved break from the pressures of running the ISC. Before then, however, there will be much for Larry and Ken to work on together as they set the course for the ISC for the next few years.
