The Capitals of Westerville, OH, were 3-0 to win their pool in the Riverfront Shootout in Bay City, Michigan over the Memorial Day weekend. Port Huron Wellness/Gillies was 3-0 to win top seed in the other pool. The playoffs on Sunday were rained out.

Ben Watts of Dunedin, NZ made his American debut going 3/3 with 1 SAC and 1R and 4 RBIS and also came in to pitch in the 6th inning to get the Save.
Callum Muir of Christchurch, NZ kicked off his second year with the Capitals going 2/4 with 2 Rs and 1 SB.
Chad Frias went 2/3 with 1R.

It was a great start to the 2012 season with a lot of high expectations this year. We hope to build off this momentum going into the Midland Explorers tournament on July 16th.
