Hello all,
Once again thank you for your participation in this year’s Boys of Summer Open. We continue to take pride in this tournament that is now in it’s 12th year. The schedule of games is attached. There have been a couple of things that changed this year. First, as many of you know Hank St. Claire whom served as the tournament UIC passed away during this last off season. Ron Brinkman will take over those duties as he had previously. He will supply the tournament with very qualified and experienced umpires.
Second, the #2 diamond that we use for three games on Saturday will no longer be the upper diamond in Denmark. The Wisconsin High School girls softball rules forced the village to move the fence in to meet WIAA regulations so that diamond is no longer playable for the men’s game. The diamond that will be used is in the Village of Maribel, which is about 7 miles south of Denmark and is located on Highway Z. We have used this diamond for 23U, NAFA, and other men’s fastpitch events.
The hotel that gives Circle Tap customers a price break is the Super 8 on the east side of Green Bay. The CT Corporate rate is $64.00. I believe it is booked tight but if you still need reservations you can try them at 920-406-8200. If you need help finding other accommodations please let me know.
The entry fee is again $200.00. The payout is $200.00 per win. KMaster will be the official ball. ISC President Dean Oscar will be on hand overseeing the tournament. An All-Tournament team will be selected which includes plaques as well as 1st and 2nd place trophys for the teams. The winner of the tournament receives a berth into the 2013 ISC World Tournament
