Here is the schedule for the 2012 Peligro Cup schedule in New York
City, June 29- July 1.


Games with the * are played at the Yankee
Stadium softball field, where the old Yankee stadium was for many
years. In full disclosure, the Yankees are in town (vs. White Sox)
this same weekend so parking will be difficult. You may want to
consider a taxi or another form of transportation, as you may find out
what traffic is REALLY like by trying to drive around Yankee Stadium
during a game day.

Tournament Sponsor Jose Mateo (Peligro) is excited to announce that
Yankee great Robinson Cano is SCHEDULED to throw out the first pitch
of the tournament at 3pm on Friday night. Jose has a good
relationship with a lot of MLB players and we're pretty excited about
getting him out to the softball park. Hopefully there are no hiccups
in the schedule to prevent this from happening. Some of you may
remember Yankee center-fielder Curtis Granderson taking some swings
against Heine Shannon in New Zealand while he was there promoting
baseball in NZ, so another Yankee is going to be exposed to some
men's fastball this year.

Anyone who arrives in town early enough and is in need of
gear/equipment, consider making the trip to 2200 Amsterdam Avenue in
Harlem to Peligro Sports. Jose's store is almost entirely dedicated
to softball/baseball with great deals on everything a player could
need; bats, gloves, shoes, etc. SUPPORT HIM as he supports our game.

14 Teams competing this year for the $8,000 first prize and $2,000
second place are below. Top 8 teams move into single elimination
playoff, bottom 6 move into Consolation round. Field assignments
will be designated soon.
