TSN2 to Broadcast Slo-Pitch Border Battle and International Women's Fastpitch Games

(Ottawa, ON) Softball Canada is extremely pleased to announce that TSN2 will air three international women's fastpitch games leading up to the ISF XIII Women's World Championship in Whitehorse this summer, as well as the fourth edition of the Men's Slo-Pitch Border Battle.

The Title IX 40th Anniversary Celebration Game between the Canadian Women's National Team and the United States will air on TSN2 in the early morning of Sunday, June 24th (midnight EDT). The following week, the US World Cup of Softball VII round-robin game between the two teams will be broadcasted on TSN2 on Monday, July 2nd (3:00pm EDT), later followed by the Gold medal game, which will air live on TSN2 (9:00pm EDT)

Following the US World Cup of Softball VII in Oklahoma City, OK (June 27 to July 2), Team Canada will compete at the Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championship in Surrey, BC (July 4-9) before travelling to Whitehorse, YK for the ISF XIII Women's World Championship (July 13-22). Canada won a Bronze medal at the previous ISF World Championship in 2010.

The International Softball Federation (ISF) has also announced that all Women's World Championship games will be streamed online.

In addition, the Men's Slo-Pitch Border Battle between Canada and the United States will also air on TSN2 on Wednesday, July 4th (5:00pm EDT). This year will mark the fourth edition of the annual game, with Team USA leading the series with two wins (2009 and 2011) over Canada's one (2010).
