I apologize for the lack of game detail….ran this weekend on a skeleton crew at the ballpark, but all the games got in, played on time, the fields were great shape, and it was a good kickoff to the season for a couple the teams who were taking the field for the first time in 2012.

Hill United wins the 2012 Lefty Bartos and Lee Isenhart Memorial

 

For the 5^th year, the Explorers hosted the Midland Special Olympics team for an exhibition game. Same results as every year – it was the only time for the whole weekend that everyone on the field had a smile on their face (per observation by an ISC official at the park). Thanks to Hill United for having their players come out and be part of it. Also, had a couple Capitals players out. Thanks guys – that makes the experience for the SO team even better.

 

Explorers are in Kitchener next weekend at Legends, and back in Midland the weekend of July 20^th as part of the Junior Explorers Invitational. Then there’s a little tournament we’re hosting in August that I hope everyone comes out to.
