Let's Kick off the Induction Weekend with a BLAST.Team Canada Fastball and Team Canada Slo-pitch will put on a show.
Come out to the Rotary Field at the Hall of Fame on Thursday, June 21st at 6:30pm to witness special guests, Dale Levy, a member of Team Canada Fastball, and Jeff Gare, Todd Cadenhead and Shawn Desroaches, members of Team Canada Slo-pitch, compete in a homerun derby.Dale is from St. Marys and is a current member of the Canadian Men's Fastball Team. He won bronze with that team in 2009 at the ISF World Men's Fastball Championships. Jeff represents Team Canada at the Border Battle against Team USA and is a five time National Champion and a four time Canadian All-Star. Todd also represented Canada at the Border Battle and is the two time Captain of the Team Canada Long Haul Bomber Tour for Mizuno at Rogers Centre in Toronto. Shawn currently plays for the Toronto Orioles who are the reigning Canadian "A" Champs.Following the homerun derby the Team Whitt vs Team Jenkins celebrity ball game will take place starting at 7pm. This game will mix several celebrities with media for a fun game of ball. In 2009 Larry Walker took one deep over the right field wall. Just last year Tony Fernandez slashed a double to left field and scored on the next single. Who will make this year's memorable play? Come and be a part of the fun. The whole night is FREE to watch and the Rotary Club will be looking after the BBQ and cold beverages.
