In an effort to keep competitive fastpitch softball thriving in Texas there was a new format used this year for the 31st Annual Father's Day Tournament.  A qualification round of two games was played to determine a teams' placement and seeding in a double elimination bracket (AA-Major, AA, and A-Major).  Each double elimination bracket consisted of four teams that battled to the championship.
