Gladys Allan, mother of Rosanne Allan, well known fastball fan and ISC-TV Streaming Producer passed away in Owen Sound on the weekend.
ALLAN, Gladys Edith “Honey“ - Born March 5, 1931, died July 13, 2012. Honey Allan of Rockford in her 82nd year. Wife and partner of Donald James Allan for over 58 years. Mother of Robert (Jan), Roy, Rosanne, Ruth (Bryan Playford). Grandmother of twelve grandchildren. Sister of Frank VanWyck, Sid (Alisa) VanWyck and Robert (Marg) VanWyck. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an infant son Donald, parents Roy and Edith VanWyck, sister Laura Hooey and her husband Orv, brothers George, John (Jack) and Fred and his wife Louise. Former employee of Woolen Mills and Goodyear and was an ardent apple picker. Friends are invited to the TANNAHILL FUNERAL HOME for visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery. Gladys “Honey“ was a proud supporter of the minor sports associations and so memorial donations to either Owen Sound Minor Hockey or Owen Sound Minor Lacrosse would be appreciated or to the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter.
