Milverton ......right in the very heart of Ontario's softball country...

SCORER's SITUATIONS..

At Innerkip this weekend....

There was at least one occasion where a player entered the game without being announced to the umpire.

The consequence to  the team that sends a player to bat, and not being entered into the game through the umpire, is that the player can be declared out.  The other team appeals to the umpire, stating that a  player has batted out of turn, and the player can be declared out...and a walk, a single, and yes, even a walk off grand slam home run to win the game in the bottom of the 7th inning can be nullified...now how would you feel if you were the coach....

LEGGE'S LONG LOST LAWN LOUNGER LOCATED LOCALLY

Note to Eric  Legge...what sounds  like  your  new lawn chair  showed up in Tavistock.  Brian Wagler found a nice new lawn chair at Optimists Park  when he was  cleaning up following the Tavistock Tournament...It is in good hands til next  year's Cephas Roth tournament...

Eric, this is not Toronto where they want to enact legislation prohibitingthe use of lawn chairs..Remember with the responsibility to carry a lawn chair you have to be  able  to control  the lawn chair and not leave it laying about....The Harper Conservatives is  considering repealing the law concerning the registration of lawn chairs, so pull out your Sharpie  and scrawl your name on  it.

Next time,  a report on the lineup for the CASA U21 championships set for Owen Sound August 6th to 12th, there are 13 teams in Owen Sound, including 4 Ontario teams, Owen Sound, Walkerton, Oshawa and Wiarton,

..and also  the ISC World Tournament in Michigan....with lots  of Ontario teams heading to the big show in Midland...

JARVIS this weekend....

See you at the  ball yard...

Dennis
