MECHANICVILLE-Terry E. Webb of Mechanicville passed away at the age of 77 on August 8, 2012 surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home after a long illness. Born in Hemstreet Park to Gordon R. Webb and Kathryn A. Gatzendorfer- Webb. Beloved husband of 51 years to Jean Miranda- Webb and loving father of Lisa Slusarz (Michael) of Marlton, NJ, Laurie Polsinello (Mark) of Latham and Lynn Pinzer (Douglas) of Wynantskill. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Brian and Kevin Slusarz, Julia and Logan Polsinello and Benjamin and Madison Pinzer. Loving brother to Ada Rivenburgh and the late Bruce Rivenburgh of Mechanicville, Elsie Hunt and the late Howard Hunt of Mechanicville and Norma and John Hamilton of Schaghticoke. Also survived by his brother and sister- in- law –Michael and Madeline Miranda and his sister- in- law Joyce Lemrow and many nieces and nephews.


He graduated from Mechanicville High School in 1951 and later graduated from Albany Business College. His happiest times were spent with his grandchildren, fishing at Brant Lake, trapping, gardening, painting, bird watching, playing cards, the Saratoga Race Track and watching his favorite baseball teams the San Francisco Giants and the New York Yankees and his favorite football team the New York Giants.


He started his career as an Office Manager at Westvaco Paper Mill until 1971 when the mill closed and retired from Stiles Excavating in 1996. He was a former member and past president of the Hemstreet Park Fire Department. He was a kind, gentle and passionate man. He will be missed by all who knew him.


A special THANKS to Dr. Carl Sgambati for his constant support and continued care, THANKS to Joanne DeVito and Marybeth Martone for their kindness and compassion while taking care of him during his journey. Finally, we would like to thank The Community Hospice of Saratoga for all their help.


Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 pm Friday August 10, 2012 at DeVito –Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 South Main Street, Mechanicville. Funeral Services will be 10 am, Saturday August 11, 2012 at St. Lukes on the Hill Church, 40 McBride Road, Mechanicville. Burial immediately following at Hudson View Cemetery, Mechanicville.
