(Ottawa, ON) The Canadian Men`s National Team coaching staff has added two additional players to the core group of players who will represent Canada at the ISF XIII Men’s World Championship in the event that Canada qualifies for the tournament with a Top 5 finish at the Pan American Championship later this month. After naming the initial list of ten core players in June, the coaching staff has decided to add Paul Koert (Brooklyn, ON) and Mathieu Roy (St-Gervais, QC) to the Team Canada roster.
The Men’s VIII Pan American Championship will take place from September 15-23 in Medellin, Colombia. Should Canada finish in the Top 5 of the 10-team event, they will earn a berth to the 2013 ISF World Championship. The coaching staff will then name the final five players to the Team Canada roster by October 15.
The ISF XIII Men’s World Championship is scheduled for March 1 to 10, 2013 in Auckland, New Zealand.
