The Bracebridge Men's Fastball League wrapped up this week, at Peake Fields in Bracebridge.

The C Division final pitted veteran Mike Crawford & Co-Operators, vs Jim Courtney, and Boston Pizza. Crawford was given an early 1-0 lead, that remained till

Kevin Chilvers(solo shot), and Trevor Murphy(3 run shot) both homered to start the onslaught. Co-Operators ultimately winning out 9-2. Kevin Chilvers was given C Division MVP.

The B Division matched up League Reg season champs Coulson Brothers vs Bulk Barn Black Sox. Dan Beaudry went the distance for Coulson as he steered them to a resounding 9-6 victory. Classy Coulson Brothers catcher Robin Huntbach, won the B Division MVP.

The A division was between Black Dog Farm and Muskoka Rural Electric. Veteran pitchers Ted Conway, and Tony Peacock battled tooth and nail for 7 innings giving up few hits. The Farm grabbed an early 1-0 lead on an Andrew Balkwell solo homer, and had some timely hitting, to eke out a slim 3-1 win, with an insurance run in the 6th. A Division MVP was won by The Farms Brandon Kuehn.

 

The committee would like to thank all of the 12 sponsors, and umpires, and especially the fans, who make coming to the park such a joy year after year. For small town of 12,000, to have 12 fastball teams in this area is a testament to the love of the game, for players, fans, and sponsors.
