MacLean throws a two-hitter against Mohawk

OCAA Women's Fastball: Durham defeated Mohawk 13-1 (Five Innings)

OSHAWA, Ont. – Kayla MacLean of the Durham College women's fastball team threw a two-hitter on Thursday night as the Lords defeated the Mohawk Mountaineers by a score of 13-1.

MacLean pitched the complete game, allowing one unearned run and only two hits. She added three strikeouts to her totals as she has 32 in 29 innings this season.

The Lords scored two runs in the second inning and four in the fourth. Durham would earn the mercy victory following a seven run fifth inning.

Durham batters combined for 13 hits and 13 runs. Caitlyn Morton and Samantha Officer each went 3-for-3 combining for three runs and five RBI's.

OCAA women's fastball athlete of the week Sydney Kozuska had a two hit night with four RBI's.

Durham is 10-1 this season, a half game ahead of the Humber Hawks (10-2). The Lords will head to southwestern Ontario this weekend for a doubleheader against the St. Clair Saints (9-3).

The Lords regular season home finale is on Monday, October 15 against the Seneca Sting.
