#Parana2012 Mexico wins and dreams

Mexico dreams big with today’s win against Czech Republic by 10-6, because they can reach the lead in Group B if they win all the games, including Argentina tomorrow night in the last game of the day.

Mexico was more than Czech Republic, and this was reflected in the final score and statistics. The winning pitcher was Misael Muñoz León, who pitched 6.1 innings, allowed 3 runs and 6 hits, and struck out five.

Mexico scored twice in the second inning, one in the third, three in the fifth, one in the sixth and two more in the final period, while the Czech team scored once in the second and another in the fifth, and four in the sixth.

Cesar Rodriguez relieved and worked 0.2 innings, receiving 2 hits, 3 runs, walking 2 and striking out 2.

In the main stadium, the U.S. took quick advantage since the begining of the game, scoring seven times. Starter Lucho Escorcia allowed 5 runs after just 1 hit and 3 walks, striking out 1. Chaparro worked 1.2 innings and left the game with 5 hits, 4 runs, 3 walks and 1 strikeout. Machado completed the game, throwing 1.2, with 3 hits, 1 strikeout and no walks or runs.

For the winner, Jerlin Rutt took the victory with a complete game, allowing 3 hits, 1 walk and struck out 9, with just 1 run against him.

In the other game, Singapore won a very celebrated game, since it’s the first World Champinoshiop victory in Singapore history. They beat Denmark by 3-1.
