Parana, ARG

Junior Men’s World Championship playoffs started today, and two teams started to think about going home. The other two teams are now waiting for the other scores.

New Zealand beat Mexico 10-6, and Canada won his game over Denmark by 8-0. New Zealand is now waiting for the loser of Australia-Japan (they are playing right now);while Canada will face the loser of the match between Argentina and USA, at 20.30 hours.

Canada didn’t have much difficulty in winning the game in six innings, to get rid of the European team, the surprise team of the tournament leaving behind Venezuela on the round robin.

Ty Sebastian took the win in 5.0 innings, no runs, 10 K, 2 H and no walks. The loser was Nicolaisen, who pitch the entire game with 7 H, 8 R, 3 BB and 5 K.

The same happened with the New Zealand team, with a solid work against Mexico, a team that will be remembered for his great offensive power.

Pita Rona was the winning pitcher, with 4.0 innings of work, with 5 H, 5 R, and 7 K, with 1 BB. Julio Leon was charged with the loss in 2.1 innings, with 4 H, 4 R, and no strikeouts.

Mexican Edgard Lopez was excellent in the plate, with two spectacular homers to keep his team alive.
