As Monday starts to wrap up, we are approaching the end of week 1 of my 6 week + Crowd Funding Campaign for "The King and Me" Documentary Film that I am producing. 76 very generous individuals have stepped forward in week #1 and donated $14,994. I am about 2/3 of the way towrds writing personal notes to each and every one of the individual donors, to express my gratitude. This total gets me almost 15% of the way to my $100,000 goal.

I must send a special Thanks to a long time nemesis on the Maccabiah Softball Battlefields, Maccabi Canada's own steady hitting Second Basman, Lorne Swartz. Off the field, Lorne is a mensch as well as one of Canada's great Philanthropists, where his Bridal Foundation helps all kinds of Children's Charities annually. In Jewish culture, Charitable giving to Jewish causes are measured in units of Chai ($18), which means "LIFE". Last week Lorne personally bestowed my Campaign with a 100 x Chai donation of $1,800 US. This proves another example of the great International Spirit of the Global Maccabi movement. Two people can battle on the field of competition, but have mutual respect, admiration, and a loving friendship when the last out os made.
Thank you again Lorne for such a heartfely gesture on your part.
