Erie PA 2013 update - Hill United Join In!

Just a quick update on the 2013 Ed McCormick Invitational tournament in Erie PA: Â We are pleased to announce the addition of the Hill United Chiefs to the tournament this year. Â HU Chiefs join NY Gremlins, PA Power and Hallman Twins of Jarvis, and the NY Swashbucklers. Â Gremlins, Jarvis, Power and HU gives Erie a potential line-up of teams 1-4 in ISC rankings, and the NY Swashbucklers will probably be ranked in the top 15-20 or so making Erie one of the top invitational tournaments in North America yet again. Â The Westerville Ohio Capitals may also attend. Â

Erie is an old fashioned ballpark in the heart of downtown with great atmosphere. Â Ontario's Jay Hart will be the UIC and bringing in some ISC umpires for the weekend, Â as a great tune up for the ISC championship in Quad Cities. Â

Host hotel is again the downtown Avalon,  less than 2 miles from the ballpark and close to many local bars and restaurants in the city.  On Erie's west side of town sits Presque Isle state park, which has miles of beaches for families and a great place for families to get away from the ballpark. Â

Any teams out there looking for a tournament on the weekend of July 26-28, in their final run up to the ASA Nationals and World Tournament should consider Erie. Â Â
