Elkland, PA – Here are updates from Elkland regarding tournaments, pitching lists, and player lists…
Molly Sherman MemorialUpdate – Currently the tournament has 11 teams, listed below and is looking for at least 1 more team to round the brackets out to an even number of teams. Labor Day in Elkland Update: Currently, although it is still months away, the Elkland Labor Day Tournament, renamed the Durk Sherman Classic in 2010 is in search of teams. Last season the tournament had 18 teams entered so currently still looking to fill many spots for this last weekend of ball at the Elkland Softball Complex. ESA Pitching List: Our pitching list has now been updated for the 2013 season. All responses we received were taken into consideration and the list has went from originally containing 161 names, is now at 79 names. Next to each name is Status of each pitcher broken down into 3 categories: Prawn, Open, ISF.

ESA Player Restriction List: There was some confusion regarding the player restriction rule for 2013. Just because a player is on the list doesn’t mean they can’t participate in Elkland, it only means you are allowed up to 4 of those players on your team for each restricted event (Molly Sherman Memorial, Elkland First Weekend Tournament). As previously stated if you are going to attend and have one or more of these players on your team, you will need to let the Tournament Director (Bill Sherman) know prior to your team playing their first game of either of these tournaments.
