ISC Canada East U21 Championship this weekend in Kitchener

Last year, we held the inaugural ISC U21 Canada East Qualifier in Innerkip with six teams and this year we have grown to eight.
Â
And what a great field of teams we have lined up for this years event in Kitchener during the Legends tournament June 21-23.
Â
We will be running two pools of four teams with Elmira 37’s, Keady Jets, Owen Sound Selects, and St. Marys Steelworkers playing in the Budd Park Division and Caledonia Royals, Stratford Cubs, Tavistock Merchants, and Wiarton Red Devils playing in the Peter Hallman Ballyard Division.

The opening game at Peter Hallman Ballyard will be staged at  6:30 p.m. on Friday June 21 featuring the Tavistock Merchants and the Stratford Cubs.

The first game at Budd Park on Friday night will start at 7:00 pm showcasing Elmira 37’s and Owen Sound Selects while the 9:00 pm game will see the Keady Jets lined up against the St. Marys Steelworkers.

Round Robin pool play will start up again at Peter Hallman Ballyard at 8:00 am on Saturday morning  and 10:00 am at Budd Park with single knockout playoff games starting at 6:00 pm on Saturday evening at the Peter Hallman Ballyard.

All playoff games on Sunday will be staged at Peter Hallman starting at 9:00 am with the championship game scheduled for 3:00 pm.

The winner of the ISC Canada East U21 title will be receive a paid berth to the 2013 ISC U21 Championship to be held in Quad Cities August 15-17.

This will be a great opportunity to witness the new up and coming talent in the U21 program as well as an opportunity to watch some of the premier fastball players in our area in the Legends of Fastball men's division.Â
