Inaugural BC Cup Headlines Busy Weekend Ahead

This weekend the ball fields in the Lower Mainland will be buzzing with mid-season men's fastpitch action as the inaugural BC Cup kicks off at South Memorial while Steveston plays host to the George Keely Memorial Tournament.
The BC Cup features five of the province's top "B" club teams including:

South Hill Giants
Vancouver Meralomas
Sooke Loggers
Nanaimo Wheatchief
Abbotsford Yard Dawgs

Many of the province's top players will be on the diamond competing in full-round robin action followed by the single elimination playoffs. Games commence on Friday night with a full slate of games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.Â
SPECIAL NOTE TO FANS: The bleachers at South Hill have been fenced off due to pending repairs so bring your lawn chairs!

Sooke Continue Roll

The Sooke Loggers continued their torrid pace to start the season with an impressive championship at the NAFA Open in Fargo, ND. The Loggers rolled to victory in the final with a 3-1 victory over the Minnesota Angels. Hardware: MVP: Kris Walushka, MVPitcher: Scott Lieph. Here's a finals recap by Ottoinfocus.com.Â
