Credentials for the World Cup of Softball and Border Battle and Slow Pitch Showdown

Journalists who wish to attend the World Cup of Softball VIII, Border Battle and Slow Pitch Showdown are asked to submit their name and outlet to Codi Warren (cwarren@softball.org) by no later than July 8 at 5 p.m. CST.
Media passes will be available for pick-up at the “Will Call” window of the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium beginning on July 11, 2013.

 

The Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America and USA Softball are hosting the top four softball teams in the world July 11-14 as the World Cup of Softball VIII returns to the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium along with the Border Battle V and Slow Pitch Showdown.  The USA Softball Women’s National Team will look to defend their top finish from last year’s World Cup as they take on reigning International Softball Federation (ISF) World Champion Japan, Australia, Canada and Puerto Rico in the four-day event. The USA Men’s Slow Pitch Team will also compete in the fifth annual Border Battle as they look to improve their record to 4-1 over the Canadian Men’s Slow Pitch National Team. Thursday, July 11

Border Battle V – USA vs Canada at Noon

Slow Pitch Showdown – USA vs USA Futures at 3 p.m.

USA vs Canada at 7 p.m.

 

Friday, July 12

Puerto Rico vs Canada at 9 a.m.

Japan vs Australia at 11:30 a.m.

Canada vs Japan at 2 p.m.

USA vs Australia at 7 p.m. (Military Appreciation Night)

 

Saturday, July 13

Puerto Rico vs Japan at 10 a.m.

Puerto Rico vs Australia at 12:30 p.m.

Australia vs Canada at 3 p.m.

USA vs Japan at 8 p.m.

 

Sunday, July 14

USA vs Puerto Rico at Noon (Pink Game)

Seed #5 vs Seed #4 at 2:30 p.m.

Seed #3 vs Winner of (Seed #5 & #4) at 5 p.m.

Seed #1 vs Seed #2 at 8 p.m.

Tickets

Tickets come in a variety of packages.   All-session tickets, which are $250 for the Ultimate Fan Zone seating in the first three rows of the stadium, $60 for other reserved seating and $30 for general admission seating, are on sale now and include tickets to the Slow Pitch Showdown and Border Battle IV. Reserved single session tickets are $20 and general admission are $10 for each of the six days of the World Cup and Border Battle. To purchase tickets, call 800-654-8337 or visit SoftballOutlet.com.
