(Oklahoma City, OK) The Canadian Senior Women’s National Team is set to compete at the 2013 General Tire World Cup of Softball VIII in Oklahoma City this week. The team arrived in Oklahoma last Thursday and held a week-long training camp at Oklahoma State University prior to the event, which will begin tomorrow as Canada will open its schedule against the United States at 7:00pm CST.
The event will feature five national teams who will be competing in a single round robin, including Australia, Canada, Japan, Puerto Rico and the United States. The top two teams from the round robin will advance to the Gold medal games, while the third place team will take on the winner of a game between the fourth and fifth place teams for the Bronze medal.
