Giants take Challenge
The South Hill Giants took the Bob Law Memorial Challenge (the top men's tournament on the West Coast in recent years) over the July 19-21 weekend. They won in dramatic fashion as Scott Newitt hit a walk off home run off of Colin McKenzie of the Invermere Randy's A's. The Giants, bolstered by the pitching of imports Andy Skelton (Team Canada - Ontario) and Trevor Ethier (Saskatoon Diamondbacks), cruised through going undefeated. |
